RNC Investigating Fatal Collision

(ST. JOHN’S, NL), February 12, 2020 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Accident Investigation are investigating a fatal collision in Conception Bay South (CBS).

On Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at approximately 9:50 pm, RNC Operational Patrol Services Division responded to a single vehicle collision on Peacekeepers Way in CBS, between the Trans Canada Highway and Fowlers Road. The fire department and ambulance department assisted at the scene of the collision. Subsequent to assessment, responding officers requested that Accident Investigation and Forensic Identification Section attend the scene.

The lone occupant of the vehicle involved in the collision, a 33 year old man from CBS, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators are working with the office of the chief medical examiner to determine the cause of death. The investigation remains ongoing. The RNC sends condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
