RNC Investigating Drive-By Shooting in Capital City

(St. John’s, NL), November 3, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Major Crime Unit (MCU) are investigating a drive-by shooting in St. John’s.

On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, shortly after 1:00 am, officers with the RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to the area of Buckmaster Circle in St. John’s after receiving multiple reports of gunshots in the area. Responding officers promptly located a residence in the area which had sustained damage from gunshots. Officers contained the area as the investigation in to the event was initiated. The RNC Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and Forensic Identification Services (FIS) attended the scene.

There were no injuries sustained by individuals inside the home. Investigators believe this event was a targeted attack, and the investigation is ongoing.
