RNC Investigating Commercial Break and Entry

(St. John’s, NL), November 9, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the pair responsible for a break and entry at a business in Torbay.

On Tuesday, November 6, 2018, just before 1:00 am, patrol officers were called to Scope Industrial to a report of a burglary alarm. When officers arrived on scene they found that a window had been smashed out of the front of the business. CCTV footage obtained by investigators shows a male and female pull up to the business in a pickup truck, smash the window, and load the back of the pickup truck with a large quantity of power tools such as chainsaws, grass trimmers, and batteries. The pickup’s plate was not visible; however, the truck had a distinctive scull decal on the back window.

The General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate this break and entry and is asking anyone who has information to call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can now provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at: www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
