RNC Investigating Assault in Downtown St. John’s

(St. John’s, NL), January 31, 2022– The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) are requesting the assistance of the community with the investigation of an assault which occurred on Harvey Road in St. John’s last week.

On Thursday, January 27, 2022, at approximately 8:00 am, the RNC Operational Patrol Services responded to a business on Harvey Road in St. John’s following a report of a disturbance. On arrival, officers located a female with visible injuries. It was determined the female was assaulted and the suspect fled the area on foot. The investigation in to the incident remains active.

The suspect is described to be a white male, approximately 50 years old, wearing dark clothes. He is described to be five feet and seven to nine inches tall with a medium build and dark curly hair.
