RNC Investigating Armed Robbery

(St. John’s, NL), December 21, 2017 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the man responsible for an armed robbery at a licensed drinking establishment in Conception Bay South.

On Sunday, December 17, 2017, just before midnight, the RNC responded to a report of an armed robbery at Hooligans (located on the lower level of Shenanigans) at 536 CBS Highway. A lone man entered the bar armed with a firearm and demanded cash. The firearm was discharged during the robbery but there were no injuries. The man fled on foot prior to police arrival with an undisclosed quantity of cash.

The male suspect is described as being approximately 25 years of age, 5’5’ in height and 150lbs. The man’s face was concealed during the robbery. It’s believed that a vehicle was used in the commission of this offence.

We’re asking anybody who may have been driving in the area between 11:45pm-12:10am to contact investigators if you have dash cam footage.
