RNC In Corner Brook Arrest Impaired Driver

(Corner Brook, NL), April 29, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) made an arrest in connection with impaired driving in Corner Brook yesterday.

On Thursday, April 28, 2022, at approximately 12:05 pm, RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) located a vehicle in the area of Valley Road after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the road. The responding officer observed a male asleep in the driver seat of the vehicle.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 29-year-old male from Corner Brook has been charged with impaired driving by drug, issued a driving suspension, and his vehicle was impounded from the scene. The male was also issued summary offence tickets for operating a vehicle without an insurance policy, operating an unregistered vehicle, and using a false license plate. The accused was released from custody to appear in Provincial Court on a later date.
