RNC Impound Vehicle Involved In Collision In Metro

(St. John’s, NL), August 19, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) issued tickets and impounded a vehicle following a collision in St. john’s on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at approximately 3:45 pm, officers with RNC OPS responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle on Bonaventure Avenue in St. John’s. The bicyclist sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, the operator of the vehicle involved in the collision was issued summary offence tickets in relation to operating an unregistered vehicle, failure to transfer ownership of the vehicle, and operating a vehicle without an insurance policy. The vehicle was impounded in connection with the Highway Traffic Act infractions.
