RNC Impound Vehicle Following Traffic Stop in Metro

(St. John’s, NL), February 23, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) impounded a vehicle yesterday following a traffic Stop in St. John’s.

On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at approximately 3:50 pm, RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) observed a vehicle engage in multiple acts related to aggressive driving on Topsail Road in St. John’s. A traffic safety stop was conducted with the vehicle in the area of Forbes Street.

As a result of the investigation by RNC OPS, the 41-year-old female from Paradise operating the vehicle was issued summary offence tickets under the Highway Traffic Act for following too closely and operating a vehicle without an insurance policy. The vehicle was impounded from the scene.
