RNC Impound Vehicle Following Traffic Stop

(St. John’s, NL), November 29, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) seized a vehicle following a traffic stop in St. John’s last night.

On Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 11:10 pm, the RNC OPS conducted a traffic safety stop in the Thorburn Road area of St. John’s. The officer determined that the operator of the vehicle did not have a valid driver’s license. In addition, the vehicle was unregistered and being operated without an insurance policy.

As a result of the traffic stop, the 43-year-old operator was issued summary offence tickets for the Highway Traffic Act infractions, and the vehicle was impounded from the scene.
