(St. John’s, NL), January 20, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services impounded a vehicle observed travelling at a high rate of speed last night.

On Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at approximately 10:00 pm, officers with RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) observed a vehicle on Brier Avenue in St. John’s travelling in excess of 50 km/h over the posted speed limit. Officers conducted a traffic safety stop with the vehicle in the area.

The operator of the vehicle, a 21-year-old female, was issued a summary offence ticket for imprudent driving. The vehicle was impounded from the scene.
