(St. John’s, NL), June 29, 2023 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) will be hosting virtual information sessions for anyone interested in a career with the police service. The RNC is recruiting candidates for the Cadet Training Program, as well as experienced police officers interested in serving with the RNC.
The RNC is currently recruiting a class of candidates who will be given the opportunity to complete a progressive and safe training program delivered by the Atlantic Police Academy, located in Prince Edward Island. The RNC will accept applications from citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada. This recruitment drive is also seeking experienced police officers. This includes individuals currently serving or that have served as a sworn police officer with full constable status in a municipal or provincial police service, or with the RCMP. The RNC welcomes applications from experienced officers from around the world. Experienced police officers can visit Hiring Experienced Police Officers – Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (gov.nl.ca) to obtain information in relation to joining the RNC.
The RNC is hosting virtual information sessions next week, utilizing the Zoom application. The information sessions will be held on Wednesday, July 5, and Thursday, July 6, both starting at 7:00 pm NST, and expected to be approximately 90 minutes in duration. These recruitment information sessions have limited space, and registration for the sessions can be achieved by emailing rncrecruiting@rnc.gov.nl.ca. With limited spaces available, organizers will fill up the Wednesday session first, and then move on to the Thursday session. If a registrant would prefer either day, indicate the preferred date in the email and organizers will make an effort to accommodate the request.
