(St. John’s, NL), August 27, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) arrested a man yesterday after responding to a disturbance in the center city area of of St. John’s.

On Thursday, August 26, 2021, at approximately 10:10 pm, The RNC OPS responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of McKay Street. It was reported that a male was causing a disturbance in the street, and was travelling throughout the area on foot. Responding officers located the man a short time later.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 20-year-old man from St. John’s was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance and breaching a court order. He was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
