RNC Drug Investigators Seize Cocaine in Metro

(St. John’s, NL), November 21, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Drug Investigation Unit (DIU) has intercepted and seized cocaine being brought in to the province.

On Tuesday, November 15th, 2022, the RNC DIU launched an investigation into interprovincial drug trafficking efforts resulting in the importation of controlled drugs into the province.

On November 17th, 2022, RNC DIU executed two search warrants in St. John’s, resulting in the seizure of four kilograms of cocaine, valued at approximately $200,000.

Officers arrested of a 34-year-old female who was released with charges pending in connection with the ongoing investigation.
