RNC Corner Brook Region Arrest Male for Threats

(Corner Brook, NL) – August 16, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Corner Brook Region have arrested and charged a male in relation to a threats investigation.

On Thursday, August 16, 2018 at approximately 8:30 am members of Operational Patrol Services and the Criminal Investigation Division responded to a complaint regarding a potential threat toward staff at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.

As a result of the investigation, on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at approximately 10:00 am officers with Operational Patrol Services arrested a 41 year old male resident of Corner Brook.  As a result of the investigation, the male subject has been charged with one count of Uttering Threats to Cause Bodily Harm and one count of Uttering Threats to Cause Property Damage.  The accused is being held in custody and will appear in Provincial Court later today.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has determined there is no concern to public safety.
