RNC Conducting “Operation: RUDOLPH” this Holiday Season

(ST. JOHN’S, NL) December 6, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services Division is partnering with the RCMP, MADD Canada, and City of Mount Pearl Municipal Enforcement to conduct strategic enforcement activities on our province’s roads this holiday season.

Throughout the month of December though New Years Eve, the RNC will be participating in “Operation: RUDOLPH,” which focuses on keeping roads in our province safe through joint enforcement activities with our policing and community partners. Operation: RUDOLPH will target impaired, distracted and dangerous driving throughout the holiday season.

The RNC is reminding the public of the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. We are encouraging individuals planning to attend social functions over the holidays with plans to consume alcohol or cannabis, to arrange for a safe and sober drive home.
