RNC Arrest Wanted Person – Craig LYNCH (1975-12-09)

(St. John’s, NL), December 2, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and Operational Patrol Services (OPS) have arrested wanted person Craig LYNCH.

On December 1, 2022 at approximately 6:15 pm, RNC CID along with members of OPS located and arrested Craig LYNCH after an extensive search and request for public assistance.

A warrant of arrest was issued for LYNCH following an incident on November 30, 2022, where an RNC officer was assaulted by LYNCH, using an ATV as a weapon. The officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the assault.

LYNCH was held in custody held to appear in Provincial Court on the following charges:

–       Assaulting peace officer with weapon, causing bodily harm

–       Resisting a Peace Officer

–       Failure to Comply with Release Order

–       Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance

–       Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident
