RNC Arrest Two People After Armed Robbery in CBS

(St. John’s, NL), September 27, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) arrested two females in connection with an armed robbery at a Conception Bay South (CBS) business over the weekend.

On Sunday, September 26, 2021, at approximately 1:00 am, officers with the RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a service station on CBS Highway in the Foxtrap area of CBS in relation to a report of an armed robbery which had just occurred. Two females had entered the business and presented a weapon. The females proceeded to flee the location on foot after obtaining merchandise from the business.

Patrol officers were prompt in their response, locating the two females responsible for the armed robbery in a wooded area near the business. The females were placed under arrest by patrol officers and transported to RNC Provincial Headquarters in St. John’s for further investigation.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 42-year-old female from CBS was charged with robbery and breach of court order. In addition, a 23-year-old female from CBS was charged with robbery with violence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, disguise with intent, assaulting a police officer and false alarm of fire. Both females were held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
