RNC Arrest Two After Assault Investigation

(St. John’s, NL), September 16, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) arrested two individuals following an investigation in to a disturbance which occurred on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at approximately 9:50 pm, officers with the RNC OPS responded to a report of an assault at a residence located in the west end of St. John’s. Responding officers were informed a disturbance had occurred at the residence on the morning of Tuesday, September 14, 2021, and involved a male and female on the property.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, two individuals were arrested on September 15, 2021. A 35-year-old male from St. John’s was charged with assault and held in custody to appear in Provincial Court. A 31-year-old female from St. John’s was charged with assault, uttering threats and property damage. The accused female was released to appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
