RNC Arrest Impaired Driver in Capital City

(St. John’s, NL), November 1, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services arrested an impaired driver in St. John’s Saturday night.

On Saturday, October 30, 2021, at approximately 11:10 pm, officers with the RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) conducted a traffic safety stop on Kenmount Road in St. John’s after a vehicle was observed driving erratically.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 39-year-old male from St. John’s was arrested and charged with impaired driving offences, his driver’s license was suspended, and his vehicle was seized from the scene. The accused was released to appear in Provincial Court on a later date.
