RNC Arrest Impaired Driver in Capital City

(St. John’s, NL), August 29, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) arrested an impaired driver in St. John’s yesterday afternoon.

On Sunday, August 28, 2022, at approximately 3:15 pm, RNC OPS responded to a report of an impaired driver in the area of Kenmount Road in St. John’s. The suspect vehicle was located in a parking lot on Kenmount Road a short time later, and officers were able to identify the operator of the vehicle. Officers initiated an investigation related to impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old male from St. John’s was charged with impaired driving and impaired driving over 80 mg of alcohol. The accused was released from custody to appear in Provincial Court on a later date.
