RNC and RNCA Partner with Wounded Warriors Canada

(ST. JOHN’S, NL) April 13, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Association (RNCA) are pleased to announce they have partnered with Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC).

The three organizations are entering into a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will be officially signed this morning at RNC Provincial Headquarters on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:30 am. RNC Chief Joseph Boland, Mr. Scott Maxwell, Executive Director of WWC, and Cst. Nick Cashin, Vice President of the RNCA, will be in attendance to sign the agreement.

Through this MOU, Wounded Warriors Canada will make the RNC and RNCA aware of their available mental health programs and services in an effort to provide an additional layer of mental health service support for RNC and RNCA members and their families. The MOU also formalizes the partnership with respect to the expectations, commitments and responsibilities of the parties.

WWC is a national mental health charity whose mission is to honour and support Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, First Responders and their families. Wounded Warriors is a fiscally responsible, privately funded mental health charity that relies on the support and generosity of individual Canadians, Services and Associations, and Businesses to fund their national programming.
