ADVISORY – New RNC Detachment in Conception Bay South Now Open

(St. John’s, NL), October 24, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Conception Bay South Detachment is now open for operations.

This morning, officers and staff assigned to the new RNC Detachment at 106 CBS Highway in Conception Bay South, reported for duty in CBS for the first time. The new detachment will offer walk-in service to members of the public wishing to make any complaint in person, including accident reporting. The front desk walk-in service will be available Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Traffic Enforcement Officers, Patrol Officers, Police Dog Services, Community Services and Criminal Investigators will work fulltime from the new detachment under the leadership of an Inspector.

Any member of the public on the Northeast Avalon, requiring assistance from the RNC is reminded to call 911 in an emergency, or 729-8000 for non-emergencies.

We will be “officially” opening the detachment, including a ribbon cutting, in the coming weeks, which will include a media event and special guests with more details to follow.
