RNC in Labrador West Make Multiple Arrests

(Labrador City/Churchill Falls, NL) July 13, 2024 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) made multiple arrests in Labrador West on Saturday, July 13.

Just before 2 a.m., RNC in Churchill Falls responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the area of John McLean Street. As a result of the investigation a 48-year-old male was arrested for assault and held in custody to appear in court. The female victim, who was known to the accused, sustained minor injuries.

At 11:12 p.m., RNC in Labrador City conducted a traffic safety stop in the area of Grenfell Drive in Wabush. As a result, a 20-year-old male was arrested and charged with impaired driving and driving over the legal limit. His license was suspended, and the vehicle was impounded. He has been released to appear in court at a later date.
