Two Arrests for Impaired Driving in Labrador West

(Labrador City, NL) June 30, 2024 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has arrested two individuals in relation to impaired driving complaints in the Labrador West Region.

On Saturday (June 29) at 2:15 p.m. members of Operational Patrol Services conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Grenfell Drive in Wabush after receiving a call from the public. As a result of the investigation the driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old female was arrested for impaired driving and the vehicle was impounded.

On Sunday (June 30) at 3 a.m. officers conducted a traffic safety stop on a vehicle in the area of Hudson Drive in Labrador City. As a result, a 40-year-old female was arrested for impaired after failing the roadside screening and her vehicle was impounded. The operator was charged with impaired driving and driving over the legal limit. She was released to appear in court at a later date.
