UPDATE: RNC Release New Photos of Armed Robbery Suspects

(St. John’s, NL), July 25, 2017 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the two men responsible for an armed robbery on July 13, 2017.

On Thursday, July 13, 2017 shortly after 5:00 pm officers with RNC Patrol Services Division and Forensic Identification Services responded an armed robbery th at had just occurred at Metro Pharmacy on Majors Path. Less than an hour before the armed robbery at Metro Pharmacy, investigators believe the same pair attempted to enter the Prescription Shoppe on Churchill Square to commit an armed robbery but were not successful at entering the business.

Two men, both with faces concealed, entered Metro Pharmacy armed with weapons and demanded prescription drugs. The two men fled the scene in a 2-door black Honda Civic with a large quantity of prescription drugs prior to police arrival. The two are described as:

First suspect – 5’9”-5’10” with an average build. He was wearing grey sweatpants, dark jacket and a white mask/bandana concealing his face.

Second Suspect – Described as being shorter than the first suspect. He was wearing red and black pajama pants with a dark jacket.

The RNC General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate this armed robbery and is   asking anyone who has information to call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
