RNC Corner Brook Region Seek Public’s Assistance in Sexual Assault Investigation

(CORNER BROOK, NL) – October 2, 2017 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Corner Brook Region is requesting the assistance of the public in a sexual assault investigation.

On Friday, September 29, 2017 at approximately 1:00 am, members from RNC Patrol Services responded to a report of a sexual assault. It was alleged that an adult female had been sexually assaulted by an adult male, outside a building in the Herald Avenue area.

The male subject is described as being tall, with a medium build. At the time of the offence, the male suspect was described as wearing dark colored jeans and a dark puffy jacket.

RNC Corner Brook Region Criminal Investigation Division is continuing the investigation and is seeking the assistance of the public. Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact the RNC at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).  You can also provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
