RNC Corner Brook Region Make Arrests in Weapons Offence

(Corner Brook, NL) – October 25, 2017 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Corner Brook Region make arrests in weapons offence.   

On Wednesday, October 25, at approximately 12:05 am RNC Patrol Services responded to a residential disturbance in the Clarence Street area. It was reported that during the disturbance a firearm was discharged inside the home.  The individuals involved in this incident were known to each other.     

As a result of the investigation, a 31 year old female resident of Corner Brook was arrested and charged with Carless Use of a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Weapon and Assault.  The female is being held in custody to appear in Provincial Court later today.  As well, a 30 year old male resident of Corner Brook was arrested and charged with Unsafe Storage of a Firearm and Ammunition.  The male was released from custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
