RNC Continuing to Investigate Victoria Head Homicide

(St. John’s, NL), December 19, 2017 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Major Crime Unit continuing to investigate the murder of Victoria Head.

On Saturday, November 11, 2017, at approximately 8:20am, officers with RNC’s Operational Patrol Services Division, Criminal Investigation Division, Police Dog Services, and Forensic Identification Services, responded to a report of deceased female on O’Brien Farm Road in St. John’s by a member of the public.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in conjunction with the RNC’s Major Crime Unit,  ruled the death as a homicide. This victim was identified as 36 year old Victoria HEAD of St. John’s.

 Since the onset of this investigation, officers have worked tirelessly to identify the person(s) responsible for Victoria Head’s murder. A dedicated investigative team within the RNC’s Criminal Investigation Division was established and has received dozens of tips from the community and conducted close to one hundred interviews.

Door to door canvassing, which has been ongoing over the last five weeks, will conclude and investigators are continuing to urge any member of the public who may have any information that could assist in this investigation to call police.
