(CORNER BROOK, NL) – May 1, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Corner Brook Region is requesting the assistance of the public in providing information regarding three break and enters into local schools.
On Sunday, April 29 at approximately 12:20 pm officers with Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of a break and enter on St. John’s Avenue at East Side Elementary. Upon police arrival it was determined that forced entry had occurred. This break and enter is believed to have occurred on Saturday, April 28 at approximately 7:00 pm.
On Monday, April 30 at approximately 7:00 am officers with Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of a break and enter on Mount Bernard Avenue at Corner Brook Intermediate Junior High School. Upon police arrival it was determined that forced entry had occurred. This break and enter is believed to have occurred on Sunday, April 29 at approximately 10:20 pm.
As well on Monday, April 30 at approximately 8:20 am officers with Operational Patrol Services responded to another report of a break and enter on Citadel Drive at C.C. Loughlin Elementary school. Upon police arrival, it was determined that forced entry had occurred. This break and enter is believed to have occurred on Monday, April 30 at approximately 12:00 am.
Through the course of the investigation, the RNC has obtained photographs of suspects in these investigations. The RNC is currently looking to identify and speak with the suspects in the attached photographs.
The RNC Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Services are continuing the investigations into these matters and are asking anyone with information to contact the RNC at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
