RNC Make Arrest in Assault Investigation

 (Labrador City, NL), May 11, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has arrested a male and a female in connection with a disturbance that occurred on May 9, 2018.

 On Thursday, May 10 at approximately 1:00 pm, officers with Operational Patrol Services responded to an assault complaint in Labrador City. As a result of an investigation, a 27 year old male and a 20 year old female were arrested for an assault on another male, and will be held to appear in court tomorrow, May 12, 2018. It is believed that the two accused and the victim in this incident are known to each other.

 The 27 year old male is charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, and malicious damage. The 20 year old female has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, and assault with a weapon.
