(CORNER BROOK, NL) – October 1, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Labrador West Region have arrested and charged a male in relation to an assault.

On Friday, September 29, 2018, at approximately 2:30 am officers with RNC Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the Shea Street area of Wabush. It was reported that an adult female had been assaulted by an adult male; the accused and victim are known to each other.

As a result of the investigation, on Friday, September 29, 2018, a 27 year old male resident of Wabush was arrested and charged with one count each of Assault and Forcible Confinement. The male was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
