RNC Request Assistance in Armed Robbery Investigation

(ST. JOHN’S, NL), May 17, 2019 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the man responsible for a recent armed robbery in St. John’s.

On Thursday, April 24, 2019, shortly before midnight, officers with RNC’s Operational Patrol Services Division responded to a center city restaurant in St. John’s in relation to a report of an armed robbery. Responding officers were informed that a man, armed with a weapon, demanded money from restaurant staff. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is a man, described as tall with a slim build, wearing a grey hooded sweater and pyjama pants. The man had partially covered his face while inside the restaurant. The RNC General Investigation Unit is asking that if anyone can identify the suspect, please contact the RNC.
