RNC Investigating Shots Fired

(Mt. Pearl, NL) July 2, 2019 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Major Crime Unit is investigating a shooting which occurred in Mount Pearl.

On Tuesday, July 2, 2019, around 12:30 am, members of Operational Patrol Services Division responded to reports that there had been shots fired toward a residence in the Lidstone Crescent area of Mount Pearl. On arrival, officers confirmed that a vehicle on the property, as well as the home itself, had been subject to gun fire. A vehicle had reportedly sped away from the area following the incident.

There were no injuries sustained to any occupants of the home. Investigators have reason to believe that this was not a random act.
