RNC Corner Brook Reminding Motorists to Secure Unoccupied Vehicles

(Corner Brook, NL), October 8, 2019 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is reminding motorists to secure all unoccupied vehicles when parked.  Thefts from unoccupied vehicles have recently increased, and in most cases it could have been prevented if the vehicles were properly secured. The RNC also advises that any valuables be removed from your vehicle when unoccupied.

These incidents are not contained to a specific street and have occurred in numerous areas throughout the city during the overnight hours.   The most recent incidents have taken place on Wheelers Road, Maple Valley Road, Caribou Road, and Curling.

The RNC continues to diligently investigate these matters and the public can report any information by contacting the RNC at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can now provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
