RNC Investigating Pedestrian Collision in Metro

(ST. JOHN’S, NL), May 1, 2020 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in St. John’s.

On Thursday, April 30, 2020, at approximately 11:20 am, RNC Operational Patrol Services Division responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on MacDonald Drive, just West of Torbay Road, in St. John’s. On arrival, responding officers spoke with the operator of the vehicle involved in the collision, which was a grey Hyundai Elantra. The pedestrian, a 63 year old man, was taken to a hospital to be treated for serious injury as a result of the collision.

The RNC accident investigators are seeking witnesses to this collision, and also request that anyone with dash camera or CCTV footage in the area contact the RNC.
