RNC Investigating Vehicle Thefts in Metro

(St. John’s, NL), October 7, 2020 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) are investigating vehicle thefts in the metro region.

The RNC General Investigation Unit (GIU) are investigating a number of vehicle thefts in the metro region. While working diligently to investigate these complaints, the RNC are also focused on continuous communication with members of the public and working together to prevent crime in our community.

To help protect your property from crimes of opportunity, consider the following precautions:

  • Keep vehicles locked when unattended
  • Store keys in safe places (Out of sight and out of reach)
  • Keep doors to your home locked overnight, or when away from the home
  • Keep property lights on overnight, or when away from the home
  • Report any suspicious activity observed
