RNC Investigating Armed Robbery in CBS

(St. John’s, NL), May 13, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit (GIU) are investigating an armed robbery which occurred in Conception Bay South (CBS).

On Saturday, April 24, 2021, at approximately 11:15 pm, officers with the RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) and Police Dog Service (PDS) responded to a service station on CBS Highway in CBS in relation to a report of an armed robbery which had just occurred. A lone suspect had entered the business and approached the cashier presenting a weapon, demanding cash. After obtaining some cash, the suspect exited the store and fled on foot. At this stage no arrests have been made in connection with this ongoing investigation.

The suspect is described to be a male, about five feet and eight inches tall, with a slender build and blonde hair. He wore a black hoodie, jeans, and black sneakers.
