RNC Make Arrest In Connection With Sexual Violence

(St. John’s, NL), June 9, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Child Abuse & Sexual Assault Unit (CASA) have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with sexual violence offences.

As a result of an investigation by RNC CASA in to reports of sexual violence toward youth, officers arrested a 27-year-old man from Paradise on the evening of Wednesday, July 7, 2021. The investigation was launched in January of 2021 after reports of sexual misconduct.

The 27-year-old man has been charged with sexual interference, sexual assault, making sexually explicit material available to a child, and luring a child. The accused has been released on conditions to appear in Provincial Court on September 21, 2021.
