RNC Make Arrest Following Assault in Paradise

(St. John’s, NL), August 13, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) made an arrest last night following an assault in Paradise.

On Thursday, August 12, 2021, just after 9:00 pm, The RNC OPS responded to a report of an assault at a business on Topsail Road in Paradise. On arrival, responding officers located a woman who had visible injury. A short time later, officers located a man believed to be responsible for the assault not far from the business.

As a result of an investigation, a 52-year-old man from Paradise was arrested and charged with assault and breach of court orders. The man was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
