RNC Make Arrest Following Property Damage in Metro

(St. John’s, NL), August 16, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) made an arrest on Friday following an incident of property damage.

On Friday, August 13, 2021, just after 12:00 pm, The RNC OPS responded to a report of property damage at a business in the Cowan Heights area of St. John’s. On arrival, responding officers were advised a male suspect had damaged property and left the location in a vehicle. A short time later, officers were able to locate the suspect at a residence not far from the business.

As a result of an investigation, a 48-year-old man from St. John’s was arrested and charged with mischief and causing a disturbance. The man was released to appear in provincial court on a later date.
