RNC Lay Charges With Assistance of RCMP

(St. John’s, NL), August 24, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) laid charges following a report of breaching court orders.

On Monday, August 23, 2021, at approximately 6:45 pm, the RNC OPS responded to a report of breach of court orders in Mount Pearl. As a result of the response, responding officers were able to confirm a 32-year-old man from Bellevue had failed to comply with court orders.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police of Newfoundland and Labrador (RCMP-NL) provided assistance, successfully locating the accused, placing him under arrest without incident. The 32-year-old man was later taken in to custody by the RNC OPS, and charged with breaching court orders. He remained in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
