RNC Patrol Make Arrest After Downtown Disturbance

(St. John’s, NL), August 26, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) arrested a man following a disturbance in St. John’s.

On Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at approximately 5:30 pm, RNC OPS responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the downtown area of St. John’s. On Arrival, responding officers located the persons involved in a disturbance, and were then confronted by a man outside of the residence. The man was detained by the responding officers.

As a result of an investigation, a 29-year-old man from St. John’s was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance and assaulting a police officer. He was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
