(Corner Brook, NL), August 26, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) in Corner Brook region were met with compliance, and two speeders, during a Wednesday evening vehicle checkpoint.

On Wednesday afternoon, August 25, 2021, patrol officers set up a traffic checkpoint on the North Shore Highway. The officers involved are commending the motorists in the area during the traffic initiative, as they observed predominant Highway Traffic Act compliance.

During the traffic initiative on the North Shore Highway yesterday afternoon, two drivers were issued summary offence tickets in relation to excessive speeds.
