RNC Make Arrest After Break And Enter In Metro

(St. John’s, NL), August 27, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) and Police Dog Service (PDS) arrested a man accused of break and enter in the capital city.

On Thursday, August 26, 2021, at approximately 10:30 pm, The RNC OPS and RNC PDS responded to a report of a break and enter at residence in the downtown area of St. John’s. Reports indicated entry had been gained to a residence, and the person responsible was still in the area.

On arrival, responding officers with RNC OPS and PDS, accompanied by Police Service Dog Gunner, located a man inside the home. The man was taken in to custody without incident.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 54-year-old man from St. John’s was charged with break and enter. He was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
