RNC Make Arrest After Center City Disturbance

(St. John’s, NL), August 30, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) arrested a female following response to a disturbance in St. John’s.

On Saturday, August 28, 2021, at approximately 8:45 pm, members of the RNC OPS responded to a lounge in the center city area of St. John’s following reports of a disturbance in progress. Responding officers were informed that an assault and property damage had occurred, and the suspect was still on scene.

On arrival, officers identified the suspect, a 40-year-old female from St. John’s, who was arrested at the scene. The female was charged with property damage, assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and failure to comply with court orders. She was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
