RNC Make Arrest Following Theft In Metro

(St. John’s, NL), August 31, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) arrested a female following a theft at a hair salon in St. John’s.

On Monday, August 30, 2021, at approximately 5:15 pm, RNC OPS responded to a report of a theft in progress at a hair salon in St. John’s. Responding officers were informed that the female suspect had fled the business on foot. On arrival to the area, the female was located nearby and placed under arrest by patrol officers.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 48-year-old woman from Mount Pearl was charged with theft and breach of court order. The woman was held to appear in Provincial Court.
