RNC Issue Tickets After Pedestrian Collision

(St. John’s, NL), September 3, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Thursday evening.

On Thursday, September 2, 2021, at around 8:00 pm, The RNC OPS responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the east end of St. John’s. Patrol officers were accompanied by St. John’s Regional Fire Department and Eastern Health Paramedics at the scene. The pedestrian, a 27-year-old female from St. John’s, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injury.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, a 67-year-old male from St. John’s who was operating the vehicle involved in the collision was issued summary offence tickets for driver’s license infractions and operating an unregistered vehicle. His vehicle was seized and impounded form the scene.
