RNC Make Arrest After Downtown Disturbance

(St. John’s, NL), September 7, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) arrested a male in St. John’s after responding to a disturbance in the downtown area.

On Saturday, September 4, 2021, at approximately 11:05 pm, responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the downtown area of St. John’s. Shortly after arrival in the area, responding officers made contact with a female outside of the residence. A male was located inside the home, and was placed under arrest for failing to comply with court orders.

As a result of an investigation in to the event, the 46-year-old man from St. John’s was charged with failure to comply with court orders and resisting arrest. He was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
