RNC Apprehend Two On Warrants In Traffic Stop

(St. John’s, NL), September 7, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Operational Patrol Services (OPS) arrested two people in connection with arrest warrants after a traffic stop in the metro region.

On Monday, September 6, 2021, at approximately 1:00 am, RNC OPS conducted a traffic safety stop on the Team Gushue Highway in St. John’s. The officer determined the occupants of the vehicle were wanted, confirming arrest warrants were in effect for both individuals.

As a result of the traffic stop, a 34-year-old male from Mount Pearl and a 30-year-old female from St. John’s were placed under arrest without incident. Both individuals were held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
