RNC Request Assistance Following Break In

(St. John’s, NL), October 5, 2021 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit (GIU) are requesting the assistance of the community in relation to the investigation of a break and enter in St. John’s.

On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at approximately 9:05 am, officers with the RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) and Forensic Identification Services (FIS) responded to a report of a break and enter at a business on Old Penneywell in St. John’s. On arrival, officers observed signs of forced entry to the building. It was determined that the break-in occurred at approximately 5:05 am on Wednesday morning.

The suspect was captured on CCTV footage inside the business. Investigators are requesting any witnesses, or anyone with CCTV or dash camera footage in the area around the time of the event, to contact the RNC to assist the investigation.
